“Michelle was an incredibly supportive and caring coach. She was amazing at helping me identify what was important to me and developing my new role at work.”

– Suzanne Enderton, Sales Leader, Rogers Partner Channels

My story

My career began at Bell Canada, where I started in the call centre and worked my way up into people-management roles – and then found my calling as a Human Resources Business Partner. I was there for 17 years – until I left due to restructuring (which gave me a firsthand understanding of how a career transition can lead to the discovery of what you really want out of your professional and personal life).

I took that opportunity to re-evaluate my path and decided to pursue coaching. It felt like a natural fit for me as I have often been sought out as an intuitive and trusted advisor who creates a safe, supportive space.  Relating in this way was by far my favourite aspect of my HR work. There’s nothing more gratifying for me than working alongside someone and seeing them grow, change and experience ‘aha’ moments.

I became certified and opened Alchemy Coaching in 2005, and the rest, as they say is history. I’ve been working as a coach (and consultant) in a freelance capacity since then, except for a brief period of time when I returned to a corporate environment in an HR Business Partner /internal coaching role at Rogers.

Though I’m happiest working in my own practice, I’m grateful for my time at Rogers, as it allowed me to hone my approach to leadership coaching, accumulate a significant amount of experience working with leaders at all levels and see firsthand (several dozen times over!) the transformation and results that are possible through the right kind of coaching.

My journey on the whole has taught me that change happens, transformation is possible, and that your career and life are, truly what you make of them.

When I’m not working with clients, you might find me creating memories with family and friends, walking Seamus our golden retriever with my awesome husband of 39 years, travelling, or enjoying Ontario’s beautiful cottage country.

If this resonates with you and you’d like to connect, I invite you to schedule a complimentary, no-pressure consultation here. You can also click here to read more about leadership coaching or here for transformational coaching.
